Clara was an eight-year-old girl who lived in a small village where everyone knew one another. More than anything, she wanted a new bicycle for her birthday because she had outgrown her old one. Every day after school she passed the bicycle shop window and dreamed of a blue bike decorated with moons and stars.

When her birthday arrived, she opened her presents with excitement. Among them was a wonderful surprise: the bicycle she had wished for! Her family had listened and made her dream come true. Clara felt enormously happy, and she also understood the effort they had made to give her such a surprise.

On her first ride, she noticed her friend Marta looking longingly at the bicycle. Marta did not have one and always walked to school. Clara felt a little tug at her heart. She knew what it was like to want something you could not yet have.

A happiness to share

After thinking about it, she made a decision. She found Marta and offered to let her use her old bicycle, which was still in good condition and the right size for her. Her friend accepted with happy tears, grateful for Clara’s generous gesture.

From then on, they rode to school together, side by side, sharing laughter and stories along the way. Clara enjoyed her new bike, and Marta finally had one so she could join her.

Clara discovered that sharing did not make her gift any less special. It made their happy moments even better.
