In a small village beside the River Llobregat lived a lion called Valentí. He was the undisputed king of the nearby jungle, respected and admired by all the animals for his strength and courage. Yet despite his imposing appearance, he was also known for his tender heart and the care he showed others.
One day, while walking through the woods, Valentí heard a cry for help from the river. He went to investigate and found a little fish called Blau caught in a fishing net. Without hesitation, he tore the net with his powerful claws and set Blau free.
Still trembling with fear, the little fish thanked him with all his heart. From that day on, they became inseparable friends. Valentí promised to protect Blau, and in return Blau told him the secrets of the river and its creatures.
But their happiness was threatened when a terrible drought struck the region. The River Llobregat began to dry up, leaving the fish trapped in little pools. Alarmed, Blau asked Valentí to help find a solution.
The brave lion decided to search for a source of water that would help the fish survive. After a long search, the friends found a hidden cave containing an underground spring. Valentí broke apart the rocks blocking its entrance, releasing the water and saving the river’s fish.
News of his heroic deed spread across the region. The other animals praised his courage and generosity, celebrating him as the saviour of the River Llobregat. From then on, Valentí and Blau were remembered as the village heroes, proof that strength and kindness can overcome obstacles and bring everyone together in difficult times.
