Once upon a time, high in the sky, there lived a little star named Luma. Every night, all the stars in the sky prepared to light up the heavens with their bright light. But Luma… didn’t want to shine.
“What good is it for me to shine when there are so many other stars?” she whispered as she hid behind a cloud.
Every night, she watched her friends dance across the sky, painting paths of light. Luma just sighed and stayed quiet, her light dimmed.
One day, the Moon approached her and said in a gentle voice:
“You know, Luma? A single star can guide a lost traveler. Sometimes, a small light can give a lot of hope.”
Luma thought for a while. That same night, as a little owl flew to find its nest, a thick fog caused it to get lost. The sky was dark, and it didn’t know which way to fly.
Then, very carefully, Luma turned on her light. It wasn’t a very big or very bright light, but she shone with all her heart. The owl saw it from below, smiled, and flew, following its light all the way home.
From that day on, Luma never doubted her light again. She learned that every light matters, no matter how small.
