Elna was six years old and had a smile that always lit up the whole classroom. For days, she had noticed a little tooth that moved slightly when she ate cookies or brushed her teeth. At first, she found it amusing, but also a little scary: “What if it hurts when it falls out?” she wondered.
One night, while she was eating dinner, the tooth came completely loose and fell into her hand. Elna’s eyes widened, and she shouted:
“Mom! Dad! My tooth fell out!”
Her parents hugged her and told her that it was a sign that she was growing up. Elna looked at herself in the mirror and, despite seeing the little hole in her mouth, she felt very brave.
That night, before going to bed, she put the tooth under her pillow. Her heart was pounding with excitement. She couldn’t stop wondering if the Tooth Fairy would come.
When she fell asleep, she dreamed that her tooth turned into a tiny star flying across the sky. The star said to her,
“Thank you for taking such good care of me! Now I’ll become a light so you can have sweet dreams every night.”
The next day, Elna woke up and ran to look under her pillow. The tooth was gone! In its place was a shiny coin and a note that read,
“For Elna, who is brave, cheerful, and has a beautiful smile.”
Elna jumped for joy and showed the note to the whole family. And that day she understood that losing a tooth wasn’t something to be afraid of, but a wonderful step on the path to growing up.
And so, with a cute little hole in her mouth and a heart full of happiness, Elna discovered that every change brings a new surprise and that small things can be truly magical.
