In a faraway little village lived a group of very special children who attended a preschool. Their names were Liam, Noa, Gala, Aina, Mariona, Nil, Emma, and Bruna. They were all between four and five years old, and they loved discovering, experimenting, and playing together.

Their classroom was a quiet and welcoming space, with low shelves full of natural materials, reading corners, and small tables for quiet work.

One morning, their teacher, Clara, gathered them in a circle and reminded them in a soft voice: “Let’s remember our rules for getting along better:

  1. Listen carefully when someone is speaking.
  2. Tidy up the materials when you’ve finished using them.
  3. It’s important to ask for permission to speak.
  4. Be respectful and help each other whenever you can.”

“When we follow these rules,” continued teacher Clara, “we learn better and feel happy.”

But after a while, Noa, excited to tell a story, was talking without waiting his turn. Liam, playing with the wooden blocks, knocked them over and forgot to pick them up. Gala and Aina were arguing over a pink pencil, and Emma and Bruna were laughing so loudly it was hard to hear.

Mariona, who always observed very calmly, raised her hand and said, “Friends! If we don’t respect the rules, we can’t understand each other. What do you think about doing it better together?”

They all looked at each other and nodded with a smile. Nil raised his hand and suggested, “We can share the pink pencil and help Liam pick up the blocks.”

And so they did: Noa waited patiently for his turn to speak, Liam and Gala tidied up the materials, and Emma and Bruna lowered their voices so they could hear the others.

Teacher Clara, seeing how they were cooperating, smiled at them: “That’s more like it! When we respect the rules, we make our classroom a beautiful and harmonious place.”

From that day on, Liam, Noa, Gala, Aina, Mariona, Nil, Emma, and Bruna made an effort to remember the rules. And, although they sometimes made mistakes, they knew they could always start again, helping each other and learning together.
