Long, long ago, on a magical Three Kings’ Eve, three very special camels were travelling together. Their names were Samir, Amani and Farid. They were the faithful companions of the Three Kings and helped them take presents to children every year. Although the work was hard and the journey very long, they were always glad to help.

One year, while crossing an enormous, cold desert on their way to the towns and cities, they met a terrible sandstorm. The wind blew so hard that the camels could hardly see. Every step became more difficult.

Samir, the first camel, was very strong. But after hours of walking through the sand, he began to feel exhausted.

“Perhaps we should stop and rest,” he said.

Amani, the second camel, was very determined.

“We won’t give up,” he replied. “The children are waiting for us!”

The Kings found a sheltered place for a short break and made sure their companions were all right. Afterwards, Samir decided to carry on. He wanted the presents to reach their destination.

As they set off again, the storm grew fiercer. Now Farid, the third camel, was beginning to lose his strength.

“I can’t go on,” he said sadly.

“We’re here with you! We’ll do it together!” Amani encouraged him.

The Kings, riding on the camels, could see how hard their companions were trying.

“You are strong and brave!” they called. “We’re nearly there. We will help one another!”

Their words gave the camels fresh strength. Despite the tiredness and the wind, they kept moving, step by step. At last, the storm began to ease.

When they reached the city, the sky cleared and the stars shone once more. The camels were tired, but proud of having overcome the difficulty together. The Kings delivered all the gifts, and the children slept with dreams full of magic.

That night, Samir, Amani and Farid learned that when the journey becomes difficult, it matters to help one another and rest when needed. Together they had crossed the storm and brought happiness to the children’s homes.
