One sunny spring day, eight-year-old Tanit and her little sister Isona, who was six, were getting ready for a new adventure. They lived in a small village surrounded by mysterious forests and green fields, and always dreamed of exploring them. Although Tanit was older and often thought of herself as Isona’s protector, she knew she learned a great deal from her younger sister too.

“Today we’re going to find the Book of Secrets in the enchanted forest!” Tanit said excitedly, putting on her backpack. “They say whoever finds it learns the most important lesson in the world.”

Isona smiled, her eyes shining with curiosity.

“I’m ready! But Tanit, do you promise not to leave me alone?”

Tanit looked at her and replied:

“I promise we’ll stay together, whatever happens.”

The sisters went into the forest. The trees were tall, and the leaves whispered in the breeze. Along the way they met friendly animals, including a squirrel that guided them, leaping from branch to branch. Everything went well until they reached an old rope bridge across a deep river.

“I can cross easily,” Tanit said, stepping forward. But Isona looked at the bridge in fear.

“Tanit, I’m scared! What if it breaks?” she asked, her voice trembling.

Tanit stopped to think. She remembered that being the older sister also meant being there for Isona, always. She went back and firmly took her sister’s hand.

“I’m a little scared too, but I know we can cross together,” she said with a gentle smile.

Slowly, the sisters crossed the bridge, holding hands and trusting each other. On the other side, they laughed with joy.

“We did it! Together we’re unstoppable!” Isona cried.

Further on, they found a glowing cave. Inside, resting on a stone, was the old and mysterious Book of Secrets. Tanit opened it carefully and read the first page:

“The greatest secret is this: you are never alone when you have someone who loves you and whom you can count on.”

The sisters looked at one another and hugged tightly.

“That’s our secret!” Isona said, laughing.

From that day on, they understood that, despite their differences and fears, they could always rely on each other. They continued having new adventures, knowing that together they could overcome the obstacles ahead.
