Ayman was six years old and had a very special secret: his voice was hidden.
Not because he didn’t want to speak, but because he felt shy and found it very difficult to express himself in front of others.
Every morning at school, Ayman looked at his classmates: some talked a lot, asked questions, told jokes…
And he could only smile silently.
“Today I’m going to speak…” he thought every day. But when the moment came, the words hid inside his heart.
One day, his teacher, Núria, saw that Ayman had a lot to say.
“Ayman,” she said to him in a gentle voice, “I know you have very important things inside you. Today we’re going to do something special.”
She gathered the whole group and proposed a game: “Magic Words.”
Each child had to say something they liked or a question they had. But there was one rule: no one could interrupt anyone, and everyone had to listen carefully.
Ayman felt nervous. His heart was pounding.
“I can’t…” he thought.
But his classmates smiled and gave him a little encouragement: a thumbs-up, a smile, a “Come on, you can do it!”
That small show of confidence made his words begin to flow like flowers awakening to the sun.
“I like to draw dinosaurs… and the colors green and blue!” he said in a soft but clear voice.
All his classmates applauded. Some shouted in amazement and joy.
Ayman smiled so broadly his heart danced with excitement.
“Maybe I can talk more often…” he thought.
From that day on, Ayman began to share more things: stories about his home, questions about animals, and even jokes.
When he felt nervous, he remembered the gesture of his classmates and Núria: they were all by his side, listening to him.
One morning, the teacher said:
“Have you seen how Ayman has found his voice?”
And Ayman, with a big laugh, replied:
“Yes! And thanks to all of you, now I know I can express myself and that my words have value.”
In this way, Ayman learned that being afraid is normal, but that with friendship, patience, and confidence, even the timidest voices can be heard loud and clear.
