Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Elna. She was only three years old and lived surrounded by a large and close-knit family. Her mother, father, grandparents, and even aunts and uncles all lived together in her house. They all loved her very much and always made her feel like the center of the universe.

When Elna caught a cold, her mother would make her hot soup, wrap her in a blanket, and take her to the doctor. If she fell while playing, her father would rush to help her, dry her tears, and give her a magic kiss to make her feel better. On weekends, her grandparents would tell her stories in funny voices and bake her star-shaped cookies. Elna felt very loved and very happy.

On the same street lived Jordi, a boy the same age. He lived alone with his father, who cared for him as best he could, but who worked almost all day to pay for food, rent, and everything else they needed. Sometimes Jordi was alone. He had no one to help him with his homework, no one to comfort him when he was sick, and no one to play with him when he got home.

One day, while Elna was at the park, she saw Jordi sitting alone on a bench, watching other children play with their parents. Elna approached him and said with a smile, “Do you want to come play with me?”

Jordi nodded, and his face lit up. They started climbing on the swings, running around, and laughing. Elna, very perceptive, noticed that Jordi was hungry. His father probably hadn’t had time to make him a snack.

So, Elna took his hand and said, “Come to my house! We have freshly baked cookies!”

When they arrived, Elna called out, “Mom! Can we invite Jordi in for a snack?”

Seeing the quiet, well-dressed boy, Elna’s mother gave him a glass of warm milk and a plate full of animal-shaped cookies. While they ate, Jordi explained that his father worked a lot and was often alone, even though he loved him very much.

Elna’s family listened with open hearts. And from that day on, they decided to make room for him in their lives. Elna’s grandparents often invited him in for snacks, her aunts and uncles took him to the park, and Elna always included him in her adventures. They even taught Jordi’s father how to make quick sandwiches and simple dishes for when he was short on time.

As the days went by, Jordi’s father felt more relaxed and less tired. He no longer had to do everything alone. And Jordi, despite still living with his father, discovered that he could also be part of a large, loving family.
