By a beautiful lake lived a little turtle named Bruna. She was very cheerful and loved exploring the forest with her friends. However, Bruna had a unique trait: one of her legs was shorter than the others, which made her walk in a different way.
Sometimes, other animals in the forest would watch as Bruna left asymmetrical footprints in the sand. This made the turtle feel different—and, at times, insecure. “Why can’t I walk like the others?” she often wondered.
One day, while strolling along the lakeshore, Bruna spotted a sad little squirrel. “What’s wrong?” she asked curiously. The squirrel explained that he had lost his way home and didn’t know how to find it again.
Bruna had an idea. She looked back and saw her distinctive footprints on the ground. “Follow my tracks!” she said with a smile. Because of the way she walked, her marks were unique and easy to follow. The squirrel took her advice and soon found his way back home.
When they arrived, all the animals gathered to hear the story. “Bruna, your footprints are special!” they said with admiration. The turtle realized that what made her different wasn’t a flaw, but a gift.
From that day on, Bruna was never again ashamed of the way she walked. She understood that everyone is different in some way, and that her own distinctiveness made her unique and valuable.
